Participating in a mobility program offers you many benefits: you get out of your (cultural) comfort zone, engage with different people and develop more self-confidence. Besides that, you improve your English, your presentation skills and learn how to be a real team player.

Motivation to participate

Why should I participate?

Participating in a mobility project is an awesome opportunity to enrich your competences and skills. Exchanging with people from other cultures is beneficial for your intercultural competence and you will be more open and curious for others. Next to that you will develop more self confidence.
What do I have to contribute?

You don’t need to be an expert in the topics of the project. Your motivation and curiosity to learn counts! We do want that you share your opinions, experiences and ideas with the group and that you actively participate in the activities. For the rest: come and learn!
Which other opportunities are there?

Next to short term mobility youth projects, we also organize local activities and events. For the future we plan to become a European Solidarity Corps host and sending institution. Here you find out more about that. Check also our Social Media to be updated!

Which costs are covered by the project?

The project will cover the following costs:
- Travel to the venue
- Accommodation
- Food (3x times per day + 2-3 coffee breaks per day)
- Non-alcoholic drinks
- Material to work with during the project
Which costs are not covered by the project?

The following costs are not covered by the project and have to be covered by yourself:
- Extra personal spending (alcoholic drinks, souvenirs etc.)
- Travel insurance
- Health insurance
- Etc.
Will my travel costs be reimbursed?

In some projects the costs of your travel will be reimbursed. If the costs will be reimbursed we need in any case the copy/original of your tickets. Check this blog article for more information.

Selection procedure

How do you select your participants?

The most important criteria for us is your motivation. You will fill out a form with some questions about your motivation. Next to that we want that people participate in projects that haven’t been involved yet in any mobility programme. Extra to that we want to have a mixed group, which means that we want participants from different educational and social backgrounds.
When do I know if I got selected for a project?

We start an open call 6 – 8 weeks before the project begins. On our Social Media you can follow when we have open calls. The call is open for 7 – 10 days. During this time we will make a selection and inform you after this time span.
What else do I need to know?

2 – 3 weeks before the project you and the other (Dutch) participants will meet with us for a preparatory meeting. This is an informal meeting to get to know each other and to prepare you to work in an intercultural setting. You find here more about the preparatory meeting.
